Ducati and Benelli to attend UK motorcycle and scooter show

Motorcycle & Scooter ShowAs if the International Motorcycle and Scooter Show in the United Kingdom wasn’t already a much-anticipated spectacle, two of the biggest names in Italian motorcycling, Ducati and Benelli were recently added to the roster of presenters.

Ducati last appeared at the show back in 2005, while Benelli will exhibit for the first time, according to event organizers.

The show—which takes place from November 23 to December 2—includes activities such as a superbike simulator, a go-cart track and off-road riding. However, its main lure is that visitors will witness the unveiling of brand new 2008 motorcycle and scooter models as they are presented for the first time to the UK market.

UK Auto ShowAlong with Ducati and Benelli, an all-star cast of the world's leading manufacturers and exhibitors are slated to attend the event. They include BMW, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, PGO Scooters, Victory Motorcycles, Watsonian Squire, Wuyang, Yamaha and Vectrix electric scooters.

The return of Ducati and the new arrivals of Benelli and Vectrix are the best possible news for the NEC show and cements its position as undisputedly the biggest and best two-wheeled event in the UK - the show offers British bikers the first chance to see the most exciting major new models in the UK, all under one roof,” said Finlay McAllan, managing director of MCI Exhibitions, who is organizing the event.

As for the return of Ducati, Tim Maccabee, managing director of the company’s UK division, said, "We are delighted to be returning to the International Motorcycle and Scooter Show at the NEC this year. It is an extremely important date...and we know from feedback that many visitors to the show consider Ducati to be one of the ‘must-see’ stands....”

Matt Kay of Benelli UK said: “We are really excited to be bringing the Benelli brand to the UK's leading bike show for the first time and are looking forward to taking our place alongside the biggest names in biking to showcase the fantastic range of Benelli motorcycles.”
